THE FAULT DETECTION AND RECONFIGURATION CONTROL ALGORITHMS OF STRAPDOWN INERTIAL MEASUREMENT UNIT WITH REDUNDANT SENSORS |

One of known methods of precision enhancement of measurements, noises reduction, reliability improvement of inertial measurement unit is increase of the number of sensors. Well known fault detection algorithms are constrained by orientation of sensors or based on heuristic considerations. In this paper the fault detection algorithms of strapdown inertial measurement unit with redundant sensors and reconfiguration control algorithms are described in case of fault detection with arbitrary number and orientation measurement axis of sensors. The results of mathematical simulation are presented. Keywords: inertial measurement unit, algorithm, redundant, fault detection.
