Autonomous identification of the strapdown inertial navigation system gyro drifts |

The problem of the autonomous identification of the strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS) gyro drifts was considered. The suggested way to identify the drifts is based on the orientation measurement of the SINS inertial measurement unit (IMU) concerning the geographical escorting reference system with the usage of the accelerometers. Then this orientation is compared to the calculated orientation of the IMU obtained by the integration of the angular rate measured by the gyroscopes. The conditions of the best accuracy of the gyro drifts identification are defined. |
