A Control Algorithm with Enhanced Performance
Characteristics for Navigation System Correction |

Over long periods of aircraft operation without correction of stationary navigation systems, errors in platform
inertial navigation systems reach unacceptable levels and must be compensated for. Correction of navigation
systems is implemented within their structure using control algorithms. Control algorithms are presented
using linear stationary and non-stationary models, as well as one class of nonlinear systems represented by
the SDC method. It is proposed to use error models of inertial navigation systems with improved controllability
characteristics in the algorithms. A numerical criterion for the degree of controllability is selected to assess
the quality of each navigation system error in the models under study.
