APPLICATION OF NONLINEAR CONTINUOUS CONTROL TO ENSURE THE STABILITY OF HEAVY AIRCRAFT MOTION DURING LANDING APPROACH |
Yu.Yu. Shumilov
The article proposes an approach to ensuring the stability of the movement of a heavy aircraft on a glide path from the point the glide path is captured to a point arbitrarily close to the touch point of the runway. In contrast to the previously proposed solutions to this problem, based on the synthesis of a discontinuous control at each point, which puts the landing system into a “sliding” mode, the author uses a continuous non-linear homogeneous control synthesized to suppress oscillations, which also ensures the stability of the object on the entire glide path.
The advantage of this continuous control over control that is discontinuous at each point is its operability with repeated use of the control system with a fairly simple physical implementation.
The performed mathematical modeling showed that continuous control with the indicated most important advantage does not lose to discontinuous control as transients.
Comparison of the simulation results of a system with continuous nonlinear homogeneous control with the results obtained with standard control showed that standard control loses even at the initial segment of the glide path, where the conditions for its operation are most favorable. In this case, it should be taken into account that the regular control is able to keep the aircraft on the glide path only up to the decision height.
Keywords: glide path, singular point, non-linear continuous control, linear non-stationary oscillations.
