FLIGHT TESTING OF THE POLAR CIRCLE INERTIAL SATELLITE NAVIGATION SYSTEM BINS-500NS ON FIBER-OPTIC GYROSCOPES |
A.P. Patrickeev, A.V. Chernodarov
The problem of improving the accuracy characteristics of strapdown inertial navigation systems (SINS) during their operation in high latitudes is relevant. This is due to the peculiarities of the operation of the SINS in such conditions: the absence of geodesically equipped sites; the need to perform an autonomous initial exhibition with small values of the horizontal projections of the angular velocity vector of the Earth; the degeneracy of traditional equations of navigation; significant fluctuations in the design of a moving object, for example, a helicopter. Studies have shown that increasing the accuracy of the SINS at high latitudes can be based on the use of a quaternion modification of the latitude coordinate calculation algorithm, the initial SINS exhibition using invariants; Estimation and compensation of drifts of sensitive elements using available external information.
Keywords: SINS, accuracy characteristics, Kalman filter, offline navigation mode.
