RESEARCH ON ACCELEROMETERS UNIT MINIMALLY EXCESS CALIBRATION PROGRAMS |

The accelerometers unit calibration method applied during test procedure to inertial
measurement units incoming from production is invariant to small errors of the unit and test stand alignment. This method provides identification of bias, scale factor instability and mutual sensitivity-axes misalignment of accelerometers. Main feature of the method is conversion from accelerometers unit measurements to free fall acceleration absolute value. During calibration procedure accelerometers unit is set into different positions. Calibration program is a set of these positions. Identification of all accelerometers unit errors (parameters) is the main demand
to calibration programs. Calibration programs synthesized for the calibration method of the orthogonal accelerometers unit of the inertial navigation system possess minimum redundancy. Estimations precision of accelerometers unit parameters with utilization of synthesized calibration programs was researched.
