Vibrating angular rate sensors

The paper represents the information of design and experimental study of prototypes number of vibrating rate sensors. The sensors are constructed on the design concept of beam vibrating gyro (BVG) and rotary vibrating gyro (RVG) which usedin a two-channel control system of a fast-rotating objects. The use of rotary vibratory gyroscope on a rotating carrier enables to use the rotation around the longitudinal axis of the carrier to obtain the kinetic moment of the gyro. This allows us to dispense with the motor rotor, which greatly simplifies the design, reduces weight, overall size and cost of the sensor. Since the control of rotating carrier occurs in the related coordinate system, there are increased requirements for the phase characteristics of the output signal. Beamvibrating gyroscopes (BVG) now widely applies in the decision oforientation and navigation tasks for a wide range of objects: low-sized flying, ground-based, above- and underwater devices, a robotics, stabilization film, fotoand TV equipments, systems of safety and management in cars, etc. It is connected, first of all, with simplicity of a design of a gyroscope which sensitive element represents a metal rod with the pasted piezoelements, or bimorphpiezoelement fixed in the case on elastic suspensionin the form of tension wire, that in a combination with well fulfilled piezotechniqueand has caused wide use of these inertial sensors in the specified areas. Below some results of researches in the field of development of samples piezogyrosdeveloped in BMSTU on chair IU-2.
