Prospects for the use of intellectual-board control system by small-size unmanned aerial vehicle
(uav) of a new generation
of technology-based fuzzy logic

Today traditional systems of automatic control of UAV in some cases aren't capable to provide required criteria of quality of control. This problem stems from the fact that there are conditions (approaching the maximum height, access to the critical angle of attack, lack of traction), which impose restrictions on the parameters of the control algorithms, which leads to significant nonlinearities in the frequency of traditional automation. In this regard, there was a need to consider alternative methods for developing systems onboard the UAV control. One of the most promising approaches involves the use of fuzzy logic technology as a powerful tool for forming and processing of qualitative and conceptual models of objects, taking into account existing uncertainties and nonlinearities. The author has developed a fuzzy autopilot UAV (including the structure, the base of fuzzy rules and membership functions) as well as the comparative analysis of fuzzy autopilot UAV with conventional discrete UAV autopilot, based on an extensive series of experimental studies specific to the actual functioning of the navigation system and the characteristics of the turbulent atmosphere.
