Prevention of collision of aircraft at low altitude flight in the conditions of the complicated situation of the flight and the turbulence of the air flow
Klimashov B.M.

Autonomous onboard close-range radio locator is considered, it prevents aircraft’s col-lision with the air object (obstacle) on low height of the flight in terms of complicated surrounding conditions and air flood turbulence. Unexpected meeting of the aircraft and the air obstacle during the flight causes dangerous situations. Flight safety support for different aircrafts and in different flight phases is provided differently. In this work the problem of single of group aircrafts safety flight on low heights above long surface (land or sea) in complicated surrounding conditions solution is considered and is provided by using onboard close-range radio locator. It is shown, that accident collisions in low group flight of aircrafts can be prevented by the autonomous close-range radio locator, which estimated space and time characteristics of each aircraft’s position. Basing on synthesis of Doppler and impulse radio signals, reflected from obstacles, autonomous close-range radio locator forms the current information about the situation and about probable further dangers in the flight. If it’s needed, close-range radio locator forms corresponding commands, which are made to the crew or to automatic flight direction system for aircraft’s trajectory correction and it’s further safe flight. The considered autonomous close-range radio locator can prevent aircrafts collision with the obstacle not only in complicated surrounding conditions, but also in terms of air flood turbulence, which influences aircraft’s lateral impulses, decreasing accuracy of long-range radiolocation measurements and speed characteristics of it’s flight.
Key words: radio locator, probing signal, airborne vehicles, Doppler frequency, the turbulent flow of air.
