Mel’nikov Structure peculiarities of compensating pendulum accelerometers and conditions under which high performance characteristics of the accelerometers can be achieved are considered. Not always designers use their potential capabilities in proper way that results in reducing possible application area of such accelerometers. The major causes of limitations of accuracy inherent to the accelerometers with elastic suspension of the sensor are analyzed.
