Artamonov The questions connected with the designing of convertible flying devices with rotary screws and, in particular, expediency of application on them of them of adaptive screws which geometry varies depending on a mode of flight of the device are considered/ On the basis of the developed method of calculation of aerodynamic characteristics of air screws on modes of an axial flow and flight-characteristics of the device on the established modes of flight the potential opportunity of increase of its maximal speed and range of flight is analyzed due to the application of adaptive change of twist and diameter of the screw.
