Applied Aspects of Platform-Oriented
Conceptual Design of Digital Twins of Rocket
and Space Technology Products |

This article focuses on developing an approach for organizing the conceptual design of digital twins of aerospace
products based on the principles of model-based systems engineering. It demonstrates that the tools applied at the
early stages of design do not provide effective support for exploring alternative technical solutions. To address
this, a method is proposed for formalizing empirical knowledge regarding the acceptability of design decisions
through the creation of a parametric product model, grounded in a system of predefined constraints for automated
verification of the evaluated configurations. This approach enables the integration of the product’s structural model
with a three-dimensional representation of the digital twin, ensuring preservation of B-Rep engineering semantics
and parametric control over component geometry. For web-based visualization of the product configuration, a
hybrid microservice architecture has been implemented, combining server-side processing of mathematical models
with graphical rendering of the digital twin’s state based on telemetry data. Collectively, these solutions form a
unifi ed information space for the implementation of intelligent analysis and optimization methods, which can serve
as a foundation for reproducibility of results in the serial production of aerospace products.
