Studying the Possibility of Using Modification
of the Allan Deviation to Periodicly Reducing
the Random Measurement Error
of a Micromechanical Accelerometer |
Maletin A.N., Gural D.A.
This article examines the pressing scientific challenge of reducing the random measurement error of a
micromechanical accelerometer using a modified Allan bias without preintegrating the signal during a small
spacecraft maneuver. It is proposed to periodically evaluate this measurement error during data post-processing
over a specified time interval and then partially compensate for it. The error sign is determined using a simplified
Allan bias formula. Ten micromechanical accelerometer tests were simulated, demonstrating a reduction in the
error in nine cases. Ways to improve the developed scientific and methodological framework are proposed.
Keywords: micromechanical accelerometer, random measurement error, bias instability, Allan deviation modification, scientific and
methodological apparatus, preliminary integration of the signal, data post-processing.
