Mathematical Modeling of the "Flow Tube – Liquid"
System in Coriolis Flowmeters Taken Into
Account of Added Mass |
Mikheev M.Yu., Gudkova E.A., Gudkov K.V.
Mathematical modeling of the “flow tube – liquid” system in Coriolis flow meters was performed using the
finite element method. The main factors influencing the accuracy of mass flow determination are analyzed.
The creation of a numerical model of the “flow tube – liquid” system is described step by step. The stages
of vibration analysis in the COMSOL Multiphysics simulation environment have been defined. The natural
frequencies of the “flow tube – liquid” system were analyzed and the influence on them of additional masses
of sensors located on the tube was modeled. The dependence of the resonant frequency of the “flow tubeliquid” system on the added mass of the sensors has been revealed. An assessment was made of the relative
error in determining the resonant frequency, which affects the calculation of the density of the measured
liquid.
Keywords: mathematical modeling, vibration analysis, Coriolis flow meter, flow tube-liquid system, added sensor masses.
