Introduction: the problem of comparing various options for building an on-board system of a smallsized spacecraft and determining the best one when the dominant quality indicators are not determined is considered. To solve this problem, it is proposed to use a methodology based on the calculation of a generalized quality indicator and a measure of deviation (uncertainty) of options for building an on-board system from an ideal one. The use of the proposed technique is demonstrated by an example.
