Improving the Efficiency of Spacecraft
Separation from the Launch Vehicle |

The paper simulates the operation of the spacecraft separation system from the launch vehicle based on a
configurable spring pusher. The possibility of creating near-zero angular velocities of spacecraft rotation
after the separation process is shown. An overview of existing developments in the fi eld of separation systems
is provided and an analysis of their advantages and disadvantages is presented. It is shown that the proposed
system with a configurable spring pusher increases the efficiency of the separation process of spacecraft from
the launch vehicle. The results of the work can be used in the design of advanced spacecraft.
