Zyanchurin The article discusses the specifics of the rocket and space industry and the key processes for the creation and use of rocket and space technology. The necessity of complex automation of technological processes of organizations involved in the processes of creation and application of products of rocket and space technology is substantiated, taking into account the specifi cs of the rocket and space industry as a whole. As a key element of automation, the author analyzes the creation of software for automated systems, the basis for the effective development of which is proposed to be a unifi ed methodology of engineering and specification of requirements. This methodology should be based on the principles of the model-based design paradigm using the methods of the theory of artificial intelligence, which allow extracting and presenting the knowledge of specialists in the subject area (rocket and space industry) and organizing the computing process in a computer based on this knowledge.
