ESTIMATION OF INTERFRAME MOTION OF VIDEO OBJECTS AND PARALLAX DIFFERENCES OF STEREO COUPLES IN TELEVISION SYSTEMS OF UNMANNED AIRCRAFT |

The article discusses a method for compressing video streams in television systems of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It bases on the edge detection of video objects from their binary images on bit planes of pixel values. The method provides the ability to estimate a high speeds movement of video objects in a frame. When coding a video stream in real time, this method allows the use of simpler and cheaper microprocessor devices in on-board equipment, due to the lower algorithmic complexity. At the same time, in stereo television systems, this method also greatly simplifi es the finding of paired points of the frames of a stereo couples, which increases the efficiency of video stream coding by compensating for the parallax shifts of the stereo couples objects. The paper presents the results of experimental research based on the C ++ programming language and carried out on authors’ own software.
