ANALYSIS OF THE FEATURES OF HYDROGEN AS AN ENERGY SOURCE |

In article widely studied the operational properties of a hydrogen-based fuel cell (FC),
methods for the production and storage of hydrogen fuel, its application areas, estimated energy intensity, and also performed a comparative analysis of the parameters of the equivalent composition, by specific energy characteristics. The reasons for the lesser use of fuel cells and internal combustion engines (ICE) based on hydrogen, which can be used as the main energy source in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), are revealed. It is shown that weighing more than 15 kg of UAVs, hybrid energy sources consisting of ICE and FC can be used as an energy source. Considering the energy consumption and other factors necessary for the production of hydrogen and the organization of the work of a fuel cell working with hydrogen, it was shown that the system efficiency is about 50 %.
