Inyakin The functional diagram and algorithms of operation of DC voltage surge suppressors used in aviation power supply systems, their key parameters, and the features of operating modes of their components during startup and in a steady state are demonstrated. The typical electrical waveforms at the most important points of such devices during their startup and current & voltage overload, as well as allowable current-voltage and frequency performances in a steady state are presented. The basic performances of the unified line of voltage surge suppressors (MDN series) developed by AEIEP LLC are given. The advantages of the design of the power supply system with improved reliability and enhanced functionality, based on the mentioned voltage surge suppressors, and its distinctive features, in comparison with traditional structures, are described.
