EVALUATION OF THE POSSIBILITIES OF INCREASING THE NOISE IMMUNITY OF RADAR STATIONS WITH POLARIZATION SIGNAL PROCESSING IN THE RECEIVING AND TRANSMITTING AFAR MODULES |

The article describes the evaluation of the impact of the technical characteristics of devices for measuring and processing the polarization scattering vector (PVR) in radar systems with polarization information processing on the quality of the decision to detect the target on the background of the underlying surface (PP). The assessment of existing methods of target detection showed in certain cases their low efficiency in the absence of Doppler differences of signals reflected from the targets and PP when they are in the same permitted volume of radar. At the same time, the analysis of the literature showed that the use of polarization of electromagnetic waves, in particular the use of the method of full polarization sensing of space can lead to an increase in the quality of detection. The requirements to the technical characteristics of radar systems with full polarization sensing on linear orthogonal polarizations for the implementation of the developed algorithm are substantiated.
