METHODS AND DEVICES FOR MEASURING THE FUEL LEVEL IN THE PRO-CESS OF FILLING THE LAUNCH VEHICLES AND THE MAIN DIRECTIONS OF THEIR DEVELOPMENT |

The article provides a brief overview of the refueling systems for Soyuz launch vehicles of various models. The basic sensor designs and principles of their work are given. It is noted that the main measuring instrument is a capacitive sensor, as the most reliable. However, in the considered technical solutions a number of shortcomings were identified, the main one being that each launch vehicle is equipped with its own set of measuring and control equipment, which makes it possible to use it only at a specific cosmodrome. At the same time, the process and technology of refueling of each type of launch vehicle is strictly individual, produced according to a separate algorithm and includes complex procedures for setting up equipment, calibrating measuring channels, introducing empirical coefficients determined immediately before the start of the filling process. A mathematical model of the measuring procedure with different methods of refueling is given. The main direction of development of refueling systems for launch vehicles is associated with the rejection of a land cable line between sensors and a control panel and with the creation of a universal refueling controller that allows you to collect and process information from various types of capacitive sensors used on board the launch vehicles.
