HARDWARE-SOFTWARE COMPLEX FOR RESEARCH AND EVALUATION IN THE PERFORMANCE TESTS OF AVIATION COMPLEXES

This paper proposes the structure of a hardware-software complex for research and
evaluation in the performance tests of aviation complexes. The complex is created on a personal computer and is used for implementing modelling techniques in the practice of fl ight testing of modern aircraft. In the hardware and software complex, the model of functioning of the aviation complex is implemented, with an open architecture, easily customized by the researcher. The appearance of the complex is substantiated and general principles for constructing a system of models used for research and evaluation of the characteristics of aviation complexes are formulated. Examples of realization of models of indication, dynamics of movement are given. The possibilities of the system for testing algorithms of digital processing of flight data, study the characteristics of the activities of the human operator in the control plane, checking the suitability of new methods of display fl ight information to the pilot. The difference between the proposed software and hardware complex from the currently used simulation stands is the relative simplicity and low cost of implementation, while ensuring a high-quality solution to the tasks set. This is achieved by a correct choice of software and algorithmic support, including an accurate model of the aircraft’s spatial motion, control systems, as well as controls and visualization of fl ight instruments. The paper considers the models used and gives examples of the solution of the target tasks.
