TEST RIGS FOR DETERMINATION OF MASS, MASS CENTRE
COORDINATES AND INERTIA MOMENTS OF OBJECTS |

The article is about the development of methodologies, algorithms and test rigs for
measurement of static-dynamic characteristics of physical objects. Solving the task
of managing the velocity movement of objects requires its static-dynamic characteristics
– mass, mass centre coordinates and inertia moments (tensor). This task
is important for aviation, space, missile, shipbuilding industry and other fi elds of
science and technique. Information about static-dynamic characteristics is needed
during the processes of design, manufacturing and fl utter testing of the dynamically
similar models and their components as well as while projecting and manufacturing
the dynamic test rigs. Original schemes, methodologies and algorithms
for measuring static-dynamic characteristics (mass, mass centre coordinates and
central inertia moments) of physical objects are developed. Automated test rigs
which provide a single mount measurement of seven static-dynamic characteristics
of objects are developed and created. The static characteristics are mass, three
mass centre coordinates and three central inertia moments. The measurement results
processing is performed in real time. The time of performing tests including
the protocol issuance takes 1…2 hours.
