BIT-PARALLEL COMPUTER CIRCUIT FOR ON-BOARD CONTROL
SYSTEMS OF AIRCRAFT |

The bit-parallel representation of the «turn» function of the CORDIC family is considered,
intended for fast implementation in on-board specialized calculators of aircraft. The technique of converting an iterative representation to bitwise is demonstrated, which opens the way to parallel computations in specialized devices based on multi-input adders. Operation «turn» is especially in demand for controlling on-board video cameras and other rotary drives, as well as for calculating trigonometric functions. Iterative and bit representations define a tradeoff between speed and performance, as well as the amount of hardware. Differentiation of bitparallel representations is performed, which expands the possibilities of their application. An approach is described for eliminating distortions associated with linear deformation (extension) of rotated vectors. The results obtained are proposed for direct application onboard small aircraft.
