STUDY OF PULSE ACTION, SIMULATED BY LASER IRRADIATION, ON AIRCRAFT ENGINES |
B.D. Khristoforov, O.B. Khristoforov, O.O. Chertovskikh
Presented are the results of experimental modeling of the impact of thunderstorms and other pulsed actions of natural and technogenic character on the air inlet of aircraft engines under high- power laser irradiation. The action of the laser irradiation was also compared to the impact of the plasma of the electrical discharges and blasts of small charges in the air on the operation of the engines of aircrafts. In the experiments there were used two aground aircrafts with turbo-jet engines being on. Jet-stream wind coming from the jet of the aircraft placed ahead was used for modeling headwind airfl ow (at the speed of up to 500 km/h) of the aircraft air-pipe exposed to pulse action. There were defined energy levels, required for violating the dynamical stability of the turbojet engines under different operating conditions at low altitudes and subsonic speeds.
Key words: lasers, irradiation, aircraft, thunderstorms, catastrophes, modeling.
