SATELLITE ON-BOARD INFORMATION SYSTEM ACCURACY DETERMINATION METHODS

Satellites on-board attitude and orbit control systems (AOCS) requirements in attitude acquisition accuracy depends on target equipment functioning requirements. Satellite purposes may cause difference in target equipment functioning requirements. This paper suggest methods with allow to estimate full attitude error. Attitude accuracy includes a list of parameters such as types of AOCS equipment, construction of a satellite, AOCS functioning features. This paper includes criterions considering, attitude acquisition main errors and criterions impact on attitude error. AOCS main function is guidance of target equipment with required accuracy. A target equipment is mounted in satellite reference frame, in other cases target equipment reference frame can be main reference frame. Accordantly it is necessary for attitude accuracy providing to implement measures in equipment calibration, measurements conduction and satellite construction stability. The misalignment of reference frames causes attitude bias. Attitude bias could be compensate by AOCS software additives or by calibration operations. In case of target equipment guidance in orbit reference frame the additional attitude error can cause navigation information knowing. Some errors can be acquired by on-board time estimation faults. This paper consists analysis of material of cases of satellites AOCS attitude accuracy estimation. The methods of satellite onboard
information system attitude accuracy determination is presented by realization of generalization of partial problems.
