FLYWHEEL INDICATOR GYROSTABILIZER WITH UNLOADING TO A FLYWHEEL |

The article discusses the construction of an indicator flywheel gyrostabilizer with unloading by the rotational speed of the flywheel. Herewith unloading may be effected by applying a torque to the platform of gyrostabilizer or to the flywheel itself. In the first case it is possible to significantly improve the accuracy of the stabilization, but
such principle of organizing the unloading requires the mounting of additional drive
and the measuring system of the flywheel speed that creates the additional constructive
complexity. In the second case, a constructive solution of gyrostabilizer is considerably
simpler and unloading may be accomplished using aerodynamic, hydrodynamic, gravitational, magnetic or other forces. This article discusses the flywheel gyrostabilizer with aerodynamic unloading. The mathematical model of gyrostabilizer and results of studies of its stability, accuracy, and quality control are represented.
