Friction stir welding for nonrotational parts made of high-strength aluminium alloys |

Features concerning formation of joints for aluminum alloys D16AT, D16AM, AMg6 by method of friction stir welding were observed and specified. The critical parameters of welding modes – rotation speed of tool and traverse speed relative to welded parts were also specified. Microstructures of joints and their properties were properly researched. Production tooling and an apparatus to perform any re-quired operations were developed and designed by authors. Workpieces which are perspective due to applying of already developed technology were shown. Key words: friction stir welding, nonrotational parts, operating tool, microstructure of welded joints.
