CLASSIFICATION OF APERTURE-MAJORITY ALGORITHMS, ELIMINATING MISSES FROM MEASUREMENT RESULTS |

A classification schedule of previously unknown algorithms is proposed, intended for rejection misses (gross errors, outliers, abnormal results of measurements) at the stage of data collection. Characteristics of the aperture-majority algorithms are a composition of opposite characteristics of aperture and majority ways of rejec-tion, smoothing their shortcomings and providing an acceptable performance time. The algorithms are presented by the following procedures: analysis of related groups of measurement results; formation of a variational series from a selected group of measurement results; evaluation of measurement results selection from a

variational series. Combinations of varieties of these procedures make all the varie-ty of considered class algorithms. The analysis procedure is determined by the na-ture of the approximation (extrapolation, double extrapolation, interpolation, sim-ultaneous interpolation and extrapolation) and a view of the aperture, the proce-dure of formation – by the nature of the approximation and the type of the gating. Sample median, trimmed mean, or computed optimized evaluation can be used for the evaluation of the measurement results. The algorithms functioning features, which are included in the classification schedule, are discussed. Such algorithms can be used in the smart metering systems and sensors software.
