Onboard software and hardware light aircraft
for navigation and flight safety support
in low-level flights

Considered a new method to solve scientific and technical problems of flight safety of light aircraft using in general aviation through onboard software and hardware with a small-sized multi-locating complex, allowing to define in advance and to parry various kinds of current pilot errors in piloting and navigation in order to avoid collisions of aircraft with each other in the air and with ground obstacles when performing low-altitude flight. The authors suggest an approach to selection of scientific and technical principles and methods implemented in the algorithms on the base of onboard computer when assessing dangerous situation, based on the classification of the underlying causes and the corresponding types of accidents and incidents during low-altitude flight of light aircraft in the airspace with a high in-tensity of air traffic on the main typical signs detected by analyzing the statistics of flying accidents. A complex radar vision system is considered as a means to improve the accuracy of information support for onboard systems processing of the primary sensor information which may include laser radar, millimeter wave radar with a phased array, cameras of visible range and infrared-camera.
