Automatic control system of multimode landing maneuver at strong sidewind |

A task of providing a lightweight passenger aircraft secure landing at a strong sidewind is investigated. The landing is performed by making a certain maneuver that minimizes the lateral speed at touchdown, and that is very important for light-weight aerial vehicles since their undercarriages don’t have as much durability as ones of heavy airplanes. As a result, a three-channel coordinated control system of a landing maneuver was generated, using of which would essentially raise the safety of touchdown because the lateral speed at the moment of touching the runway decreased in several times in comparison with common method.
