Lidar doppler profiler for measurement of wind parameters as a part of ground komplex meteorological services

This work is devoted to the certification of the Doppler lidar profiler to measure wind in the ground-based meteorological provision of air navigation. It is shown that the pres-ence in the atmosphere of such weather phenomena like wind shear, wake vortex or tur-bulence can be dangerous for take-off and landing of aircraft, helicopters and other air-craft. In this regard, it was concluded that the measurement and prediction of wind near the airport is a necessary condition for ensuring the safety of air traffic. The analysis of known meters wind speed and direction is shown that one of the most promising trans-mitters to estimate the parameters of surface wind Doppler lidar is profilometer contin-uous conical scan type.Lidar doppler profiler developed by «Laser systems» Ltd. is con-sidered as a type of aviation equipment for measurement of wind parameters. Measure-ment of wind direction and speed within 0…55 m/s are at altitudes of from 3 to 300 me-ters. The results of certification tests on the measuring landfill of NPO «Typhoon» were discussed. Profiler data were compared with the readings of reference gauges installed at the meteorological mast VMM-310.
