Methods of measuring the energy
of spark discharges in the shooting
of semiconductor plugs gas-turbine engines

Analyzes the known possible methods for measuring the spark discharges in semicon-ductor spark plugs, requiring the use of two sensors – a current sensor and a voltage divider, and indirect methods of measuring energy. It is shown that for the direct meas-urement of the energy discharge in shooting semiconductor candlelight not fit any of the methods of measurement, including the oscilloscope, as well as all known digital meters, based on the application as a sensor voltage divider due to the nature of embodiment shooting semiconductor candles in which the central electrode and the semiconductor element recessed relative to the working end of the candle. A description of the possible indirect method of measuring the energy of sparks shooting in semiconductor plugs with one sensor – current sensor, an algorithm for determining the energy discharges devel-oped by the indirect method of measurement using two sensors – current sensors and voltage dividers. Being developed method is to calculate the discharge energy is calcu-lated taking into account the experimental method-resistance ratio of the central electrode firing semiconductor plugs to complete the active resistance of the discharge circuit and known energy storage capacitor. The effectiveness of the proposed method for measuring energy by experiment in the laboratory in the study of energy in shooting semiconductor plugs capacitive ignition systems of gas turbine engines.
