Aerospace Instrument-Making Annotation << Back The selection procedure of the trellis-coded modulations with rational utilizing of frequency & power resources of the satellite repeater Gubonin N.S. Orlov Yu.Yu. The selection procedure of the trellis-coded modulations (TCM) is offered and an-alyzed for terrestrial terminals (TT) of the radio lines with GEO satellite repeaters. The method is focused on reducing of utilizing frequency band and EIRP of a separate transponder of a satellite repeater and on alignment of the utilizing of these resources. According to this method preliminary selection of TT with various TCM is being made by Pareto-criterion. The next step is to allocate classes of ra-tional solutions by the additional practical conditions. The method is compared with A. Sidorenkov's approach which has earlier explored the influence of line pa-rameters on resources consumption of a satellite repeater. He has offered proce-dure of selection TCM from finite set of TCM under the fixed conditions of a method. However, on the one hand, within the limits of his approach not all ra-tional solutions come to light, and on the other hand not all received solutions are suitable. The method offered in the article is free from these lacks.
