Simulation findings of the search and rescue space system based on medium earth orbit satellites. |

In an effort to determine the required number of MEOLUTs and their efficient location in Russian territory a simulation procedure of the COSPAS-SARSAT system based on the Glonass-K satellites was carried out and evaluated the RF segment service zones of this system. It was shown that the coverage area of MEOSAR system increased with the satellites number growth or with MEOLUT data exchange or with increasing the number of MEOLUT antennas. The global coefficient G increases rapidly with increment of the MEO satellites number from 12 to 24, and then slowly increases with increasing the amount of MEO satellites from 24 to 48. |
