High-performance laser technologies for space equipment manufacturing |

A range of high-performance laser technologies for space equipment manufacturing is presented in this research. Technology of laser perforation of thin materials like titanium sheets for filters and screen-vacuum thermal protection is considered in the first part of this research. High quality of manufactured articles is demonstrated like strength and holes accuracy. Technology of hybrid light-laser welding of thin metals is considered in the second part of this research. The possibility of thermal cycle programming in processing area is shown. Technology of controlled laser thermocracking of glass products based on infra-red lasers is presented in the third part of this research. The possibility of manufacturing high-strength thin glass elements of spacecraft radiators thermooptical covering using this technology is demonstrated.
