Laser rangers parameters optimisation |

Laser rangers are included in modern satellite global navigation systems. Limitation of laser average power provokes the necessity of choice between rare high-energy pulses and more frequent weaker ones. Taking into account high expenses of experiments with satellite systems basic parameters, the article shows possibility of theoretical assessments of corresponding variations. Proposed calculation method (based on corpuscular representation of optical signals in the Poisson approximation) allows to investigate theoretically effects of laser frequency variation and of signal amplitude discrimination. As an example the Sajen-TM ranger is considered, which parameters turn to be far from optimum.
