Application of the DBSCAN Method
for Clustering Coordinate Marks of Dynamic
Objects Formed by Several Information Sources |

The paper considers the problem of identifying the coordinate marks of dynamic objects obtained from
different sources of information. To solve the problem, it is proposed to apply the DBSCAN clustering
method. A series of computational experiments were conducted in which the values of the DBSCAN
method parameters and the distances between objects were determined, at which successful clustering of
coordinate marks is performed with a certain confi guration of information sources. Based on the results of
the computational experiments, it is possible to conclude that the DBSCAN method is potentially applicable
to solving the problem, but additional algorithmic solutions are required to eliminate the clustering problem
with intersecting trajectories of objects. The problem of the influence of the sequence of initial data on the
numbering of clusters is also identified.
