MODERN ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE FIELD OF ELECTRIC ROCKET ENGINES FOR SPACE EXPLORATION |
M. Nosrati, I.B. Abbasov
The use of electric rocket propulsion, which uses an electromagnetic method to accelerate movement, has become an important technology for space exploration. This article discusses the problems facing the designers of electric engines, the possibilities of their development and advancement to increase the duration of missions and increase the efficiency of space exploration. The paper also discusses various types of electric motors, such as ion, plasma thrusters, and compares their performance. The importance of using electric propulsion for interplanetary missions and reducing the cost of space exploration is noted. The problems and limitations of electric motors, such as low power and thrust, are described, as well as the use of new technologies and innovations that can solve these problems. The use of nanotechnology to develop lightweight, high-performance propulsion materials could help accelerate space exploration. As a result, it is concluded that the electric propulsion system has a high ability to advance space research, and continued research and development in this area will be necessary and vital for future missions.
