RESOURCE MANAGEMENT OF A SPECIALIZED FLIGHT AREA IMAGING SYNTHESIS SYSTEM FOR AVIATION SIMULATOR

The actual problem of distributing resources of a special software and hardware system for image synthesis over the entire 3D-model of a large flight area for an aviation simulator is being solved. It is shown that the integrated aviation simulators being developed are designed to train pilots to fly an aircraft in normal and pre-accident situations. At present, pilot training in aircraft navigation tasks is reduced to restoring orientation when flying in overcast conditions, using the readings of radio navigation aids and other cockpit equipment. It has been determined that a pilot can visually navigate while flying on an aircraft simulator only when flying over a 3D-model of the area adjacent to the 3D-model of the runway, which is sufficiently saturated with 3D-models of reference objects. The reasons for this approach are the limited performance of computer image generators previously installed in flight simulators and the insufficient mathematical apparatus that allows distributing the resources of computer image generators to synthesize a sufficient number of 3D-models of reference objects over the entire 3D model of the flight area with a size of at least 400 × 400 km , to allow pilots to visually orient themselves by finding objects marked on the map of the flight area. The article posed and solved the problem of distributing the resources of a computer image generator over the entire 3D-model of the flight area as a linear programming problem.
