ON CHOOSING A SINGLE SOLUTION WHEN EXPERIMENTALLY DETERMINING THE DEPENDENCE OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY ON TEMPERATURE FROM THE SOLUTION OF THE INVERSE PROBLEM OF HEAT TRANSFER |

In this paper, two solutions to the coefficient inverse problem of heat conduction are found and analyzed to find the heat conduction coefficient as a function of temperature, and a method for choosing a single solution is proposed. The analysis of the boundary value problem under consideration shows the possibility of the existence of a branching region of the numerical solution. In this case, to choose a unique solution, it suffices to use an additional condition. The paper proposes a method for determining the unique solution in this and similar cases.
