A TECHNIQUE FOR OPTIMIZING THE MASS AND OVERALL CHARACTERISTICS OF AN ANTI-AIRCRAFT GUIDED MISSILE BY MODERNIZING THE COMBINED CONTROL METHOD

The constant improvement of air attack means leads to a number of problems associated with a decrease in the effectiveness of anti-aircraft guided missiles. These include: an increase in the flight performance of air attack weapons, an increase in missile guidance errors when maneuvering a target, and a decrease in the quality of the aerodynamic control of a missile at high altitudes. In this regard, there is a need to increase the efficiency of firing a rocket, by giving it the property of «high maneuverability». The solution of the problem is carried out by modifying the anti-aircraft guided missiles already in service and supplementing them with a gas-dynamic device. The combined method of creating control forces and moments (aerodynamic together with gas-dynamic) will increase the maximum control acceleration by more than two times, and reduce the reaction time in the entire guidance area by five times. The implementation of the combined control method is carried out on the basis of the developed methodology for optimizing the mass and overall characteristics of the missile with aerodynamic control, by supplementing its impulse propulsion system with a gas-dynamic control method.
