FORMATION OF A STARRY SKY IMAGE USING A GAUSS FILTER FOR MODELING OPTICAL DEFECTS |

Modeling of astrogation systems allows us to develop effective and reliable algorithms for solving the problem of orientation and navigation of the spacecraft. The simulation of the astrodensor operation is based on an algorithm, while in order to approximate the algorithmic model in reality, stages are added to this process, where optical defects are realized that may manifest themselves during the operation of the device. This paper presents an algorithm for modeling the operation of an astrodensor – the formation of a snapshot of the starry sky. Two defects "smudge" and optical aberration are considered, which are modulated using a Gauss filter. The simulation results show a fundamental similarity with the images obtained from the instruments.
