METHOD FOR CALCULATING THE PARAMETERS OF NONLINEAR RESONANCE IN SERVO SYSTEMS

The article proposes an approach to analyzing the possibility of resonance in systems with forced oscillations, including systems in which there are no self-oscillations and linear resonance. The main class of the systems under consideration is the tracking systems, in which the separation of the linear dynamic and nonlinear static parts is possible. As an example, a radar station operating in the detection mode is considered. The harmonic linearization method is used to form an equation for forced oscillations relative to the amplitude, where the parameter is the frequency of external oscillations. It is shown that the obtained equation can be solved by well-known numerical methods, for example, Newton’s method. There is a solution for any frequency of the input signal in the operating frequency range, but not necessarily the only one. At frequencies for which there are two solutions to the equation, a nonlinear resonance occurs, characterized by an abrupt increase or decrease in the amplitude of forced oscillations. With a slow change in the frequency of the input signal, the jump in the amplitude of the forced oscillations occurs almost instantly. The results of verifi cation of the calculated parameters of nonlinear resonance by the method of mathematical modeling are presented, confi rming the correctness of the chosen approach to the analysis of the resonance properties of nonlinear servo systems.
