Lukin, Yu.Yu. Shumilov A method for optimization of the orbital disposition of a communication satellites constellation is presented. Particular attention is paid to the substantiation of the type of objective functions Circular orbits and constellation parameters similar to the satellite communication system «Gonets» are considered. The proposed method allows us to consider the optimization of the coverage area and the maximum waiting time for any approximations of the shape of the Earth’s surface.
