OPTIMAL PLACEMENT OF SENSORS AND ACTUATORS BASED ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF OBSERVABILITY AND CONTROLLABILITY GRAMIANS |

The method of optimal placement of sensors and actuators of dynamic systems based on construction of observability and controllability gramians is considered. The problem of optimal placement of sensors is considered as the problem of maximizing the output energy generated by this state. The optimal location of the actuators is considered as the problem of minimizing the input energy necessary to achieve a given state. Algorithms are proposed for solving the optimal placement of sensors and actuators for linear and non-linear systems. A procedure for determining the optimal placement parameters based on the PSO (particle swarm optimization) method is proposed. The method proposed in the work differs from the known methods of placing sensors and actuators with the possibility of placement in n-dimensional space.
