ITERATIVE PROCEDURE CALIBRATION SENSING ELEMENTS SINS |

The problem of calibration of the strapdown inertial navigation systems (SINS)
with the use of an accurate two-stage test bench is considered. Synthesis of the
iterative procedure of calibration of sensing elements is carried out. Optimal SINS
accelerometers calibration program is offered. Synthesized iterative calibration
procedure in combination with the optimal calibration program provides: an
increase in the accuracy and reliability of estimates of instrumental errors of the
SINS sensing elements; a signifi cant reduction in the requirements for the accuracy
of maintaining the temperature during the calibration; a signifi cant reduction in
labor costs for the calibration of SINS sensors. The results of experimental studies
confi rming the effectiveness of the developed iterative calibration procedure are
presented.
