Khachumov The paper presents a number of proposals for the development and improvementof methods and systems for monitoring the Arctic zone based on remote sensing data from the Earth. The list of tasks to be solved includes the creation of hardware and software for high-performance information processing; monitoring of the state of the remote sensing spacecraft and search for anomalies in its operation; development of methods for analyzing the situation in the water areas of the Arctic region; building an intelligent graphical interface for launching and managing the progress of the problems solution. Much attention is paid to the development of the architecture and the functional filling of the workstation «ARM-Arctica», designed to analyze and predict the changes in the observed regions, searching for targets and situations. The results contribute to the solution of the problem of monitoring and information support of operators and researchers, serve the interests of technological modernization and development of the Arctic zone.
