ANALYSIS OF AIRBORNE COMPUTER SYSTEM STRUCTURES AND RELIABILITY |

At present highly integrated component basis have been available at domestic mar-ket the use of which together with new engineering solutions referred to the struc-tured organization will allow to create domestic airborne computer systems for var-ious purposes, possessing advanced specifications. The given article presents com-parative evaluation of the basic performance specifications for self-diagnosable airborne computer systems and majority systems having been used up to the present time in space and aviation engineering and are positioned as the most reliable and fail-safe. There are presented advantages of self-diagnosable airborne computer systems with stand-by redundancy and the possibility to realize them using domestic component basis. Characteristic property of self-diagnosable airborne computer systems with stand-by redundancy (cold redundancy) is that they provide both the best characteristics from the point of view of the fail-safety, fault tolerance, reliabil-ity, radiation resistance, power consumption, mass and dimensions.
